Mercenary Contract 1. This is a mercenary contract between the Royal Mecha Force of the kingdom of Fuhro, hereafter the employer and the signer of this contract, hereafter the pilot. 2. The pilot agrees to work for the employer as a combat mecha pilot for a period of one thousand and one (1001) days, starting from the signing of this contract. 3. During this time the pilot agrees to comply with the martial law of the state of Fuhro on equal terms to a native citizen in military service of the employer. 4. The pilot agrees to follow the command structure and orders of the employer. The employer agrees to provide the pilot with superior officers and a command structure. The pilot agrees to place all his or her property under the care of the employer. The employer agrees to maintain an equal line of credit for the pilot and to provide services and equipment that the pilot may buy with his or her available credit. 5. The employer agrees to pay 90% of the price of any combat equipment the pilot purchases for personal use at the service of the employer. Such purchases must be placed through an agent approved by the employer. Equipment thus purhased may not be resold. 6. The employer agrees to provide food and shelter for the pilot. The employer agrees to pay the pilot for any and all recorded kills against enemy machinery according to the current Jane's Military appraisal value. 7. The employer may pay additional bonuses for certain targets as he sees fit. Battle salvage is property of the employer. 8. The pilot agrees to pay a penalty of $50,000 should he or she disobey an order of the employer. He or she furthermore agrees to pay a penalty of $3,000,000 or 40 years in prison should he or she fail to serve for the full term of this contract. Failing to follow this clause, the pilot agrees that he or she will be shot as a deserter. 9. The employer agrees to pay the pilot his or her entire credit rating at the time of discharge from the service in whichever currency the pilot desires. 10. The pilot agrees to withold any and all classified information gained while under this contract for the rest of his or her natural life. 11. Should the pilot die while under this contract, all his or her property becomes property of the employer.
